The Victron Blue Smart IP65 12V 5A Battery Charger is a compact, intelligent charger designed to safely charge and maintain a wide range of 12V lead-acid and LiFePO4 batteries. With built-in Bluetooth, advanced seven-stage charging and an IP65-rated enclosure, it's an excellent choice for automotive, 4WD, caravan, motorcycle, marine and recreational battery maintenance.

Victron's seven-step smart charging algorithm automatically delivers the charging profile your battery needs, helping maintain battery health, performance and service life. Preset programs are available for common lead-acid and lithium iron phosphate batteries, while Expert Mode provides advanced users with control over charging parameters to suit specific battery manufacturer requirements.

Built-in Bluetooth Smart connectivity lets you use the VictronConnect app to configure the charger and monitor voltage, current and charging status from a compatible smartphone, tablet or computer. Historical information for the previous 40 charge cycles can also be reviewed, including starting and finishing voltage, amp-hours charged, time spent in each charging stage and completion status.

The Blue Smart IP65 can attempt to recover deeply discharged batteries by initially applying a controlled low current before returning to normal charging once sufficient battery voltage has been restored. A dedicated low-current mode is also available for charging smaller batteries.

Designed for demanding environments, the charger is IP65 water, dust and chemical resistant and operates in temperatures from -30°C to +50°C. Reverse polarity, short-circuit and over-temperature protection provide additional peace of mind, while high efficiency of up to 95% reduces thermal stress on internal components.

The charger can also operate as a 12V power supply, selectable through the VictronConnect app. Supplied with both alligator clamps and M8 eyelet connections, it can be used as a portable charger or conveniently left connected to a regularly maintained battery.
